Our Pre-Game Warm Up

WARM UP EXERCISE: 5 Things/Improv (ZOOM Ed.)
Description:
One player initiates the game by selecting another player in the group and asking that player to say 5 things based on a category of the initiating player’s choosing. For example, “Name five flavors of ice cream you’d like to see added to the freezer aisle at the store.”
As the selected player names off each response, the rest of the players can count along, cheering when all five things have been said.
Then, the player who just named off five things will select another different player to go and supply that player with a new category.
The game is played until each player has had a chance to go.
Now We Be Playin'...Trivia, That Is

GAME 1: Urban Myth
Gone with The Wind
Out of the 1400+ actors that auditioned for the part of Scarlett O’Hara, Vivien Leigh was chosen to play Scarlett!
When was Gone With The Wind filmed?
1939. It took 125 days of photography and a budget of $4.25 million (the average feature at the time cost under $1 million). The movie’s running time is 3:42 and was in pre-production for two years before filming began.
X-Ray Undergarment Marketing
So, a London Firm marketed x-ray proof undergarments to shy women at the turn of the century. But Why? The creation of X-ray glasses led to the production of lead underwear to protect modesty. Today, x-ray proof underwear is still available, but is advertised as protecting modesty when passengers walk through a full body scanner at the airport.
When was the X-Ray machine invented?
Wilhelm Roentgen, a Professor of Physics in Wurzburg, Bavaria, accidentally discovered X-rays in 1895 while testing whether cathode rays could pass through glass.
What about foot x-rays at the shoe store? Seriously? Yep!
Fargo the Movie Money Search
Busted! Apparently, despite what our game card said, the Fargo movie-related death was a myth. Here is the real story behind the woman’s death.
When did the movie Fargo come out? March 8th, 1996

Now We Be Playin...Trivia, That Is

GAME 1: Urban Myth
Edgar Allen Poe, Yo
Did Edgar Allen Poe attend West Point? Yes, however he wasn't dismissed due to uncontrollable drinking. January 28, 1831, only 6 months after enrolling at the academy, he was dismissed due to “gross neglect of duty and disobedience of orders.”
Is Poe’s cottage really located in the Bronx? Yes! Check it out!
The Millionaire and His Pennies
A millionaire and his pennies…A story not as easy to find as you'd think. He seems to make a habit of it, without any of the return he’d hoped for.
Misc:
University of Florida Gatorade Commercial: The Legend of Gatorade Commercial
Were eggs actually an ingredient used in the original Orange Julius recipe? Indeed!
GAME 2: Buzz Word
