About Good Luck Improv

OUR ORIGIN STORY

Good Luck Improv (GLI) was started in Rochester, NY, in February 2017, when five funny and fabulously lucky ladies who enjoy performing impov together, booked their first live show. The original members of GLI are: Bianca Bishop, Tricia Campbell, Alyssa Palumbos, Heather Southern and Deborah White. *Alyssa left GLI in 04/17 to pursue other ambitions. ** Deborah White left GLI in 04/24 to focus on her work with the fabulous Guilt & Mirrors Improv Troupe.

OUR FORMAT

GLI has a fun soap opera/serial show format where both new and recurring characters improvise their way around and through whatever comes their way on stage! Each fully improvised “episode” ends with an exciting new cliffhanger! Our smaller-sized core team allows us to easily incorporate SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMERS into our sets, so you never know who might just show up on stage with us! Lately we've been having fun incorporating some short form games (a la "Whose Line Is It Anyway") into the mix!

GENERAL UPDATE 04/13/24

Good Luck Improv is back in action! We've welcomed new member, the uber funny Steph Tubman to the team AND we had our FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE in YEARS this past weekend in celebration of the solar eclipse at the Focus Theater! GENERAL UPDATE 04/22/22

Good Luck Improv is still alive and kicking! We're re-starting up IN-PERSON rehearsals this month with the hope that LIVE PERFORMANCES won't be too far behind! We've welcomed a new teammate to the fold, the very talented Sara Zavacki-Moore! (See her bio on our FB page!) And, last but not least, we've kicked off our spring season with a NEW comedy-trivia Virtual Happy Hour episode in honor of our favorite team holiday, St. Patrick's Day! COVID-19 UPDATE

The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented us from performing live so far this year, but it hasn’t stopped us from dreaming up new plans and plots for the characters of our popular Sunnyside Arms Retirement Community! So we created a blog to share with you all what the residents of Sunnyside Arms are up to!
